Game Recap: Flyers

UD ran out to a 5-0 lead and never looked back. They gave it to the Musketeers good on their home floor winning 71-58. It sucks losing to a rival no doubt about it. But I tip my hat to them. They play very good defense and the fact that they hit some shots from deep was enough to carry them. Chris Wright is as good as advertised. Their intensity was not matched by X. Brian Gregory is now 4-10 all time against Xavier. I hope their guard Rob Lowery recovers quickly and the knee injury he sustained in the first half was nothing serious. It appears the A10 will be getting in at least two teams and maybe a third depending on what happens in Atlantic City.

X will continue to slide in the rankings but I feel strongly they will rebound against Fordham on Saturday afternoon. However we still have challenges to overcome in terms of FT shooting. At one point CJ missed four in a row in the second half. It would be nice to see that improve but this team better be ready to excel at defense and rebounding. What happened at the end of the first half with Terrell was inexcusable and Sean made sure he was sitting next to him at the start of the second half. Hopefully the Muskies can go on another long winning streak after back to back losses. We now share second place in the A10 with Dayton and St. Joseph's hold the top spot as of tonight.
